OK! here's the incredible predicament that I've once again landed myself into… I have to become a tennis coach for about 2 months. Its not even guaranteed pay. Just for the good of the tennis association of Maldives.
Its not that coaching is bad but how do i coach while i cant even play well. And always my head rolls around the fact that if I'm not apt as a player my students will also be learning it wrong. For gods sake i didn't even pass the god damn coaching level 1 course. But, it seems there is a shortage of tennis coaches and absolutely no foreign coaches to hang around the court the whole day. Even the players who did pass the exam has got other more pressing matters like extra classes at school or something.
But, duty calls, I've got to step up and be the bigger man and suck it up…do the lessons as best as i could. And did i mention that I have to coach from little kids whose got too much energy and teens who just are too lazy to play well. Talk about contrast.
So lets see what happens…but you know what I’ve got my limits and I’m not coaching without an assistant. If I'm being dragged down into this might as well go guns blazing and drag someone else with me too :P
